Today I am 27 weeks along. My third trimester officially starts this week. How weird is that? Even better, I now only have 9 weeks left until the doctor removes my cerclage. And chances are very good that this little girl will be born as soon as those stitches are out.
WHOA.
We are starting to allow ourselves to really feel the excitement. This past Wednesday we attended our first of four birthing classes. It was really nice of the instructor to teach Malone how to give me massages. Totally worth the fee just for that! But when we practiced the meditation technique she showed us, the baby started kicking and I had a hard time not giggling. Oops! Next week we "get" to watch the terrifying birthing videos. And the 3rd week we take a tour of the new Women and Newborns section of the hospital.
This coming week our project at home is to go through all the baby items we have and start getting the nursery ready. That means I have to face my minor dilemma. We aren't allowed to paint the walls because we're renting. They have to stay white. So how should I decorate? Any suggestions?

For decorating, you could do some vinyl. They go on easily and come off easily. You can find sayings, pictures, and lots of other cute things in vinyl. Then when you move, just take it off. You could also do a cute curtain valance and bedding. It will make for a really cute baby room :) ~Hannah (cousin)
Congrats on starting your third trimester how exciting to be counting down the days-
I like Hannah think that vinyl is a wonderful thing to decorate with- Window treatments can also add a big punch to a room-
In my little guy's room we used white thumbtacks and fishline to hang black 3-d metal stars from the ceiling in part of the room- and they added a cute touch- There are lots of cute things that you could hang instead of stars- my S-I-L decopaged balloons and painted them with sparkly metalic paint and hung them and they were soooo cute.
Best of luck and be sure to post pictures when your done! Audra (2ofus4now)
I too was going to say to decorate with vinyl lettering. If you have theme, let me know & I can get some vinyl lettering or designs cut out for you & I can either mail them to you or send them with your brother at the end of this month. (boo, we'll miss him!) Did you know that if/when you move, you don't have to throw the vinyl things away. If you stick them to wax paper, they can be reused. Good luck figuring out a decoration scheme & super happy that you have made it this far in your pregnancy!
Hooray for another milestone! :) You are in the home stretch now and will be holding Little Miss before you know it. Have you decided on any names? I am so excited to see how you decorate the nursery. I have never been able to paint either and have just done the crib and some decorations around like a matching lamp and so forth. Still so fun.
echo on the vinyl (a friend of mine is online who do custom stuff--pictures as well as letters--http://www.vinylchitchat.com/).
If you are into stamping or paper crafting, another friend of mine did a lot of cute pictures for really cheap that she put into frames that she painted. Laura's into painting frames and would help you, I'm sure. My friend also did some amazing wall things with ribbon and fake flowers.
Yay! 27! I've been thinking more about you lately and wondering how things are going. Sounds like things are great right now! I need to email you sometime. It's been awhile since I've done that.
you might also want to talk to your landlords.. sometimes they will let you paint as long as you agree to repaint when you leave... never hurts to ask! :)
Oh man I wish I could be there to help you decorate! I think you should stick with the theme that you have on your diaper bag. You know with the cute lions, elephants, and stuff. I'll even draw you some stuff and send it to you. Then you can do the vinyl thing and hang them up. It would be so cute. But there's a theme idea. Or you can stick with Winnie the Pooh. Either way, it'll be so cute!
Then when you move, just take it off.
