Day 137 approved and waiting for our baby through the miracle of adoption
SHE WANTS US!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday evening we had our conference phone call with our birth mom (to protect her privacy, I will just call her S.). (That sounds so exciting to say OUR birth mom!!!) It went really well. It went so well in fact, that the caseworker actually had to come on the line and tell us it was time for the conversation to end, because we were basically just chit-chatting about everything. So we hung up the phone so that the caseworker could have a chance to talk to S. about it. Only about five minutes later, the caseworker called us back and said, "congratulations! She loves you guys, and she definitely wants to match with you." I swear I almost passed out. The caseworker said that S. was saying that she just knew in her heart we were right and that she felt a calm and peace the minute we started talking.
Oh my gosh, so the baby is due in less than three weeks and we actually found out that S. had a labor scare this past Sunday! So this baby really could come any day now. Holy smokes! I have to get ready! We have to buy a car seat! We have to dive into the legal paperwork! I have to buy some baby clothes and pack a diaper bag! (Can you tell I'm feeling somewhat frantic?) I don't believe I've been this stressed ever since hubby and I got married. But it is so worth it. All this craziness will be worth it for our daughter.
So, now I get to go throw myself together for our big BBQ tonight and hope that I'm not toooo scatterbrained about everything. (yeah right!) I'll update more later, but in the meantime, we need everybody to pray and, if you can on Sunday, fast for S., the baby, us, and S.'s whole family. There is some discord right now with some of S.'s family members who don't approve of her adoption plan. We don't want them to hurt her feelings. But she's staying so strong, we're so proud of her. Please pray and fast that she will be able to remain strong and that she will feel comfort and peace in her heart. We just love her so much already.

Brittany I couldn't be any happier for you and Malone. I was just talking to my MIL this morning about you and how excited I was and then to see this. What great news!!!! Let me know if I can do anything.
Holy Cow! I am so excited for you guys! 3 weeks is so soon. Good luck with everything. We will pray for you and your birth mom.
How is it that I only know you through the blogging world (and what your brother has told me) and seriously can NOT stop crying from the excitement! I am so thrilled to know that everything is falling in the right place for you guys. It's now time to have a baby shower - even if it's done when YOUR litttle girl is home with you. YIPPIE!! I seriously am jumping for joy!
Oh my gosh I am bawling right now!! I am so grateful this is happening NOW!! It wasn't that long ago I was going through a very similar thing, it's so exciting!!! It was very fast and so much to think about all at once! And guess what? GIRLS ARE SO FUN!!!! I need your address because Eden has so many baby clothes she has outgrown and I would love to send you some and of course some hair bows!! Email it to me if you get a chance (I know that might be hard) Meka_Hilton@yahoo.com!!!! Ahhh I am so excited for you guys!!
Congratulations!! That is awesome news!!
I have been following your blog for awhile, we are in the process of trying to adopt also. We were matched in late February with a baby girl. I was so excited for you when I pulled up you BIG exciting news and then I happen to notice on your site that as of today you have 18 days to go. I thought that was so cool and then I finally realized...we have the exact same due date. We are 37 wks and 3 days! How cool is that?! I wish you all the best and pray for your family.
We are so excited for you guys as you await your daughter. Our love and prayers are with you. Let us know if we can help in any way. Love and kisses -Aunt Alice, Uncle Don, Robbie, Kimberly and grandkids...
